Mom-preneurs

OK, We have 57 days until Christmas!! Can you believe it? Tip Junkie is hosting a Mom-preneur Shop-a-thon. What that means is she is challenging everyone to buy handmade gifts from Mom's this Christmas. Since I am a Mom-preneur, well sort of. I felt I needed to get in on this! She has a list of Etsy shops and blogs that have cute, very unique gifts to give this year! Just click on the shop-a-thon logo to the right.

Shanna, you and the girls may want to hold off on looking until December 26th. You wouldn't want to spoil your Christmas surprise.:)

I am NOT a camping type of girl!

On Saturday we went camping out at my in-laws. I thought this was perfect we were far enough out to be out in the wilderness but close enough if we needed to use the potty, or had any type of emergency we would be good. We or should I say Jeff set up the tent and fire. Our nephew, Braden was at my in laws house so he came out and played with Ken which was great. We had some hotdogs and some oh so yummy smores. Once it got really dark I busted out the glow sticks and flash lights for them, you would have thought it was Christmas morning!

Than everyone went inside and it was just our little family. I put Kendie down and J and I just sat by the fire and than decided it was time to go to sleep too. This is when I am NOT a camping type of girl comes in! It was cold but not freezing so it was nice to snuggle into our sleeping bags and get nice and cozy. Just than Snoppy Jeff's parents dog starts barking. Let me remind you they live out in the country, it was pretty much silent till this point.

Than the coyotes start howling and the neighbors dog starts barking. J realizes that we have put our tent up on a slight hill (which you don't know about UNTIL YOU ARE LAYING DOWN!) At this point it's about 1:30am and we said screw it let's go inside! Other than the sleeping part it was really fun and Ken had the best time. She wanted me to set the tent up in her play room. I'm willing to do it again...next year!

Sporting our glow stick earrings and necklace.

In honor of Halloween, I saw this on 30 Minute Meals and it sounded delicious!

1 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
1 cup extra-sharp yellow Cheddar

Halloween goodie bag or decorations...which ever you want!

Here is a easy little Halloween craft.

All you need is all this...

Cut a black paper plate in half. Take black ribbon or anything you like that would work as a handle and staple it to one half of the paper plate. Take your black pipe cleaners and staple them to the plate to make the legs of the spider. Than staple the 2 halves together (so it will make a pouch).

Put some googly eyes on it and you have a goodie bag.

or just some cute little spiders hanging down

Mighty Tite

Do you hate putting your car seat in and out of your car? Do you say bad words and sweat to death as your putting all your weight on your child's car seat so they will be safe and secure?? OK maybe that last one is just me. I have to say I HATE changing out our car seat! When we had Kendie, my sister told me about this handy little life saver. It gets your car seat nice and tight! Just put the seat belt in the crank and crank it down. In my family we are a little weird about our car seats being super tight. But why wouldn't you? When your caring around precious cargo!

This one's for you, Mom

This post is mainly for my Mom. Usually, the post that has a video in it is for her. I don't know how else to send them. We had a pretty busy weekend, which was good because Ken and I stayed home all week! Due to the bite. I missed the CABI party because we had a birthday party to go to at the same time. They do have nice clothes. Anyways, on to the b-day party. Ken was invited to a fishing birthday party so here is a little video of her with her first fish. If you listen closely she says,"Is it a shark"?

Then on Sunday we loaded up the Jeep and headed out to the pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful day! We each got a pumpkin, don't let J fool you. He loves all this Fall fun. Tonight we are going to carve are pumpkins, which is always great!

Pimpin it in the Jeep with her Strawberry Shortcake glasses on!

I love this whole blog thing! I kind of stumbled on Nie Nie dialogues. I started reading her blog several days after the accident (her and her husband where in a plane crash and are in critical condition). If you have some time go on over to her blog. I love reading about her life. At first I felt weird, like some sort of "blog stalker". Reading someones blog I don't even know! If you start reading her blog you just can't stop!! There are numerous online auctions for The Nielson's to help with the hospital bills, that are expected to reach into the millions! Go on and be a blog stalker and help out Nie Nie!!

MIA

Sorry, I haven't posted anything in a WEEK! That is just not like me!! I have been dealing with one sick little girl. Ken got bit by something and she is super sick. We had my father in laws big birthday party on Saturday (pictures will be up soon) and Saturday night I noticed a bite on her back. On Sunday she was vomiting and not her normal self (sleeping all day, not talking back to me, etc.)By Monday it was huge!

I took her to the Dr. who sent us to another Dr., waited for a hour and a half for him to give her some NASTY medicine and tell us to come back on Thursday. She is still vomiting and can't keep anything down, even her medicine. Went back to the Dr. this morning and she gave us some medicine for her tummy. She is doing better this after noon. I thought a little "treasure" as Kendie calls them would make her feel better.

Look at her! She is in heaven with all that make up and nail polish. Check out the way she is painting her toes! She certainly doesn't see her mom paint her toes like that!

Pretzels with Carmel and Chocolate Chips

On Saturday we had the Wurstfest Social. For those of you who read my blog and don't live here. My husband is a Opa in the Wurstfest Association, that means during the festival(Oct. 31 - Nov. 9) he donates his time and puts on his oh so cute lederhosen. He greets people as they come in the gates, takes up tickets. Those of you who know my husband you know during this time he is in hog heaven(he is quite the talker)! Every year they have a Opa Social it's so much fun get all dressed up, mingle and eat delicious food(my favorite part)! They always have a dessert table with tons of things. This was one of my favorites...

Pretzels with Carmel and Chocolate Chips

Pretzel Sticks
Carmel
Mini size Chocolate Chips

Take a pretzel stick

Dip the top part of the pretzel in Carmel

Roll it around in some chocolate chips

I asked the lady severing us if she could dip my pretzel back in the carmel and chocolate chips again...she didn't think I was too funny!

Amazing Race

Last night I came in from mowing the grass and The Amazing Race was on. I love that show! I would love to do it but I'm not all that athletic and I would probably have a complete panic attack because I can't handle all that chaos...I'm a little OCD about planning everything out. Anyways, I saw this team and I thought, that really looks like this girl I went to high school with. After watching the show for a couple of minutes I thought I would just google her name and it WAS her! Her name is Christy (she is the red head) and she is on the team with her best friend and they are the "The Divorcees". They came in 7th last night, hopefully they will keep doing better and win the million!!

I have mentioned this a time or two, I love this time of year! The crisp air, leaves changing colors and Fall decorations. I put up some of my decorations the other day, my house always feel homier when I put up seasonal decorations.

I love those little baby pumpkins!

My swag Kendie Sue and I made (she ripped the fabric for me) I like this one better than my first one. I used more fabric so it's a little fuller than the other one.

Candle holder that has some fabric that matches my Fall swag.

The porch, I have a feeling by Thanksgiving I'm going to be really tried of sweeping all that hay up!
