What's in store for 2009?

WOW, only a couple more hours until the ball drops and I have to start stickin to my new year resolution's! Which are:

Stop being so negative (mainly about myself)

Get organized and stay organized

Get all my projects done...it's a LONG list

Spend more time with my friends. I love my friends, sometimes I focus more on the cleanliness of my house than on what's really important....in 20 years is everyone going to remember my baseboards were spotless? Come on!

And of course get healthy!!

2008 has been a good year for us. I started a new business, made some good new friends and had the love of my family.

I can't wait to see what's in store for us in 2009?? I hope a baby (or at least be pregnant). Kendall will start preschool...gulp! Add some new items to Ruffles and Rhinestones and a new house ( I dreaming big this year:)).

Have a great year!! This IS my last post for 2008!

I promise this is the last Christmas post! Last night we went to look at Christmas lights at Schlitterbahn. My oldest friend Betty came into town (she lives in Washington D.C.) so we went with her boyfriend Sam and her hilarious niece! That kid is funny.

Betty and yours truly

Not Rockefeller Center but I don't know any better.

Kendie and her "Sister". Really these girls could pass as sisters, they look and act alike.:)

I hope everyone has a FUN but SAFE New Year's Eve. We are going to have a laid back night. We are going to our friends house, just their family and ours. Normally, someone has a party but this year we will be taking it easy.

See you guys next year!

Finally....

This is what Santa left me...well not really. I had to go with "Santa" to Costco to get it.

After all these years they have been out I FINALLY got one! This is defiantly going to help me get out a do something called EXERCISE!

My Sister-In-Law who runs marathons was telling me about this...

Nike Sensor

It tells you how far you ran or in my case walked. Calories burned all in your ear! You can also track your progress too which is really why I wanted it. SO I can see RESULTS!

I was so excited, I ran out and tried to get one but they were all out. So next week I will be get one and get my exercise groove on!

Pork Tenderloin Sandwich

The other night we had some pork tenderloin left over. Jeff decided to make some delicious sandwiches with the meat. They were SO good!

pork tenderloin
fresh bakery bread (we used a long baguette)
olive oil
salt
pepper
Horseradish sauce
spicy course grain mustard
sweet and spicy mustard (New Braunfels Smoke House)
Romaine Lettuce

Cook the tenderloin according to package. Cut bread down the middle and brush the bread with olive oil and put a pinch of salt and pepper. Bake at 350 for about 10 min. or until it is golden brown.

After the meat has rested, cut the pork into thin slices. Using equal amounts of all the mustard and horseradish sauce, brush onto toasted bread. Place pork slices and lettuce on the bread and ENJOY!

Christmas Party

So we are having our Ugly Sweater Christmas party tomorrow. Maybe I should say Tacky Christmas party since I'm borrowing some things...sorry Mom I love the shirt and bracelet:)! And I have a ton to do! And what am I doing? Reading Blogs. So far I have made...

Spinach Artichoke dip

Sausage Balls

Brownies for my trifle dish

Cookies (store bought, sorry Martha I just don't have time to make from scratch...I've got blogs to catch up on)

Now all I have to do is clean the house and tomorrow make a couple more things and put everything in the oven.

I did want to leave you with this, just in case I don't get a picture of myself at the party. This is my getup...
Oh ya, I'm definitely winning the top prize!!

I've been tagged!

Alright, in my 4th folder the 4th picture was a video (I don't know if that counts). This is a video of Ken's 2nd Easter, she was about 16 months old. I laughed when I watched it. It's hard to remember her that little. Don't mind the boxes we were in the middle of moving or the Rooster.

We lived out in the country, so Jeff thought we should get some chicken's and a Rooster. Fortunately I mean Unfortunate they didn't survive the move:). Jeff doesn't really talk like that, that's the voice he uses when he talks to Ken...kind of strange, but we love him!

Oh Christmas tree, Oh...NO!

Today we went to go see Santa. I really didn't know what I was going get with this kid. Sometimes she all about Santa, sometimes not! It went good except we were next in line and she decide she had to go potty. So I was a little worried Ken would "mark her territory" but lucky for Santa she held it.

I couldn't get this kid off of Santa's lap! And than those kiosk salesman, why do they have to be so pushy?? Finally we left the mall. Only to come home to this:

Luckily I took all the ornaments off that layer just in case. Remember, I told you our tree was broken. Now it's really, really broken!

So I took off the bottom layer and now this is what it looks like:

Yes, a little goofy looking, so I'm open to any idea's?? I couldn't bring myself to toss the bottom branches...it's the german in me!

So I did a little more Christmas decorating...

All of the greenery is from the branches from our tree.

Finally, I saw this wreath idea on this blog. All I did was decoupaged wrapping paper on a wooden G.

Now I think my house is ready for Santa!

Please Pray...

When I was reading this post a couple of weeks ago, I cried. Today when I was checking my blogs, I saw the title that I did not want to see. I sobbed. I am at a loss for words. Please pray for this family.

Favorite Friday

I am completely useless when it come to style! I know nothing about what's in, what's not. I wear what is comfortable to me. So when a friend told me about My Shape.com , I was a little excited.

You put in your measurements...REAL MEASUREMENTS. Than they pick out outfits that fit your body so their is no wondering,Will this look good? Is this in style? And the clothes are reasonable. I'm the type of person if it doesn't come from Old Navy or Target I probably won't buy it. But these clothes were right around what I would spend on a nice outfit. So go on put your measurements in and pick yourself out a early Christmas gift!!

Guess who got a visit from St. Nick?

Last night we went to the Sophienburg Museum to visit with St. Nick. This is our second year to go and it really is a neat thing to do...even though St. Nick is kind of scary...

But than he passed out some candy canes and that made everything better!:)

Here is a look at what Ken is getting this morning...

I think each year St. Nick will bring Ken's tree to her with some shiny new pink ornaments too!:)

Hope you have a good morning!!
