Rotini Dish

I found this great blog for planning out meals. This makes a great dinner! I love those biscuit mixes, I have those on hand all the time!!

1 TB cornstarch
1 cup milk
1/2 box of Rotini (or noodle of choice)
4-5 TB parmesean
1/2 cup sour cream
steamed broccoli
mushrooms
2 TB butter

Biscuit Mix ~ I used the Bisquick 3 cheese mix, they are SO good!! And all you have to do is add water!

Start by boiling your water for your pasta, cook as indicated on package and drain.

While pasta is cooking, start your sauce! Mix 1/2 cup milk and 1 TB cornstarch until blended. Add 1/2 cup sour cream, 3 TB parmesan cheese and 1 TB butter, mix and heat until warm. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Steam your broccoli.

Preheat oven to 350

Make biscuits as indicated by bag (once they are done baking I brush on some melted butter)

Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes or until sauce is bubbly.

Initial Necklace

I made this and sent it to Kelly and she already got it. I am so happy she likes it. On the other side it has Harper's name and initial. Looks like this baby girl is a fighter!:) Everyday I can't wait to read the great updates Harper.

I love to decorate just about anything! Most of the blogs I read are mainly about decorating but I'm a sucker for a good old "mommy blog" too.:) Our house is kind of rustic. But since I've been reading ton's of design blogs I'm thinking about changing things up a bit....I can hear my sister now.

I've always been the type that EVERYTHING has to match and as I'm reading blogs that is just not true. I like dark cozy colors and I love light and bright colors too. So what's a girl to do? I really love The Nester's style very pretty but still livable. That's why I like reading all these blogs they have great realistic ideas.

Like most people our bedroom is the last to be decorated. Just what ever is left over that's what is in there. I would show you a picture but I'm just too embarrassed. I was trying to find some ideas for a more grown up space. I found this bedroom at Bless Our Nest

I really like it but it's white, I guess that is what clorox is for!:)

The Happy Homebody has some great ideas too. I could go on and on. So there you have it, these are some of my favorite decorating blogs. I hope you find something that inspires you!

New England Weather vs Texas Weather

I found this blog the other day. She has some beautiful pictures on there! It makes me really appreciate our sunny skies and almost 80 degree weather we are having! It would be fun to have some snow sometime this winter, I would even settle for some ice. Stay home all day watching "The Big Chill '09" on channel 12 with my little family all nice and cozy.:) I love it when it's like that!

Sour Cream Enchiladas

I make these all the time! They are so good and a little different than regular enchiladas.

11/2 cups chicken, cooked and cubed
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup sour cream
1 can green chilies, small can
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
6 Tortillas

Mix the soup, sour cream and green chilies in a bowl. Spoon filling onto edge of each tortilla then top with chicken and sprinkle with cheese. Fold into enchiladas and place in a coated 9x13 pan. Spoon any extra ingredients on top of enchiladas and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.

Praying for Harper

I have been reading Kelly's blog for the last couple of months. For some reason I was just drawn to it. Yesterday she had a baby girl, to be honest with you I must of checked her blog 10 times!
Harper needs your prayers!

I don't know Kelly, but we have sent emails back and fourth. She seems like the sweetest person. By the look of comments she has lots of prayers coming and they can use some more. Kelly and her husband have waited a long time for this baby so please, please pray!!

It's no secret that I'm a freak(as my sister calls me) and love to organize stuff! Over the last couple days I have gone into every little closet, drawer and cabinet in this small house and organized it! I feel so much better about my house when everything is organized. Don't you?

Sorry to my friends. One of my "resolution's" was to spend more time with our friends. I have backed out of several things this week because of this organization project I had going on. So now I'm making a trip to Goodwill and droppin this stuff off!

Alright, the reason for the post...

I found this great site for organization tips. I'm an Organizing Junkie, she has great ideas from meal planning to keeping your car clean. I can always use a tip on keeping the car clean.

Some of you have asked about my header. I hate to call it a "header" because it makes it sound like I'm some sort of blog designer but really, I have no clue what I'm doing! I really tried to learn all that stuff back when I had a free trial of photoshop. I just couldn't figure it out. I was more into the picture part of it.

So when I discovered Scrapblog, I knew I had finally figured out how to do a creative blog. The cheap way! It's really easy to use. You can edit your pictures in scrapblog too. You can even print your layouts! I hope I will see some super cute designs on your blog soon!:)

Butterfinger Cake

Butterfinger Cake

Yellow cake mix

Bake the cake mix according to the package. While hot - poke holes all over it. Mix together the sweet milk and caramel and pour over cake. Crush up the butterfingers and spread on top. Allow to cool and refrigerate. Once completely cool - top with cool whip.

Here's a sneak peek...

I'm almost done with my craft room. This room is definitely different from my whole house and that is what I wanted! When I was at Target getting some things I wanted to get some of these...you know one of those paper holder things.

But at $12.99 each that was not going to happen! So I was thinking...How can I make one? Then it came to me!

Cut one of these...

Mod Podge some of this on...

and then you have this...

a very stylish paper holder.

One thing I wanted was one of those silhouette pictures. I saw this on Nie Nie's blog (which by the way she is doing really good)and I really liked it so here is mine...

By now you are probably getting the color scheme down. So far it has turned out great! The only thing I have left is that darn slipcover...that's the thing I'm really worried about.

Here's your sign

Lately, I have been going to Hobby Lobby WAY to much! The other day I was in there and I saw this sign.

I had it in the cart but I put it back...I was so tempted though. Where do you hang something like that?
