On Palm Sunday...

Kendall was baptized. It was such a beautiful day! Well, I will be honest with you it didn't start out that great. When we were leaving to go to church I told Ken as she was walking out the door, please be careful. Her beautiful WHITE dress looked so cute on her. As she was walking out the back door, her feet never even hit the 1st step and she fell onto my freshly planted petunias.

Of course, I freaked out! Jeff calmly took the dress off and cleaned all the dirt off. Once we got in the car we couldn't help but just laugh...so typical of our little grace.:)

This is the same Pastor that married Jeff and I almost 6 years ago

Than we went to Clear Springs for some lunch with the family

Spring Break

This week was Spring Break. At the end of last week we had absolutely no plans for this week at all. A couple of weeks ago I started teaching at Kendall's school. 2 days a week. You would think by the looks of my house I had myself 2 full time jobs. So I thought we would just take it easy and get some stuff done around here. Well, by Monday we had a full week of activities. Here it is in pictures

Played in some fountains

Had 1 or 2 of these

Spent the afternoon at this place

Enjoyed our nice weather

Did a lot of this

Tomorrow is our last day. So we are spending it with my sister and her girls.

Aggieland

Yesterday we took a trip to College Station. I had a order I had to drop off for one of Jeff's cousins. We went and eat lunch with some of the family. Than walked some of our yummy lunch off by taking a stroll around campus.

Hopefully, I will use this picture when she graduates from A&M someday.

Kendall had her picture in the College Station paper today.

Than we had some ice cream with Mama Lee (Jeff's 95 year old Grandma)

Jalapeno Cheese Grits

The other day we went to a Chamber Mixer, a local restaurant catered it. They had little plates of pork tenderloin and cheese grits with this wonderful sauce. I was in heaven! Forget about networking bring out more cheese grits please.

2 cup of uncooked grits
8 cups of water
2 to 3 cups of grated cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons of butter
2 cloves of garlic, minced
3 jalapenos chopped
Salt and pepper to taste

Sautee jalapenos and garlic in butter until soft
Pour water in a pot and turn stove on high
When water is boiling, slowly add grits and stir until thick and creamy.
After grits are done, add cheese, jalapenos, garlic, salt and pepper and stir until cheese is melted

This morning

I put on these, really early. I'm talking it was still dark outside.

and went for a little run/walk. It felt great! I have lost about 25lbs but I'm in a slump. I thought running might help shed some of this weight...I'll let you know.

Little House in the Big Woods

For some reason in the Spring time I think of our old house. This was our first house together. This is where we spent our wedding night, where we brought our first little baby home from the hospital. Lucky for me any time I drive to my parents house I can take a peek at it...sort of.

Right where that arrow is, is our old house or the house in the woods as Jeff calls it. It was a old drafty farm house. Cold in the winter and HOT in the Summer. Nestled up on a hill by the woods with a really nice view. We had lots of good memories in that house.

Blogs and Birthdays

How awesome is my new blog and website? Let me tell you I have been obsessing over this for ever it seems like! It turned out better than I thought it would. This lovely lady, Tricia did a fantastic job on designing them. Check out Ruffles and Rhinestones and see all the new Spring items I am adding. Just between you a me, I am getting some awesome new flip flops in. Both preppy and animal/rhinestones prints... something for all my customers out there.:)

Last but not least Happy Birthday to my sweet little niece Karagen. She is 9 today. She can be a handful at times (just like her momma) but she is such a good helper with the little girls. She loves to make things (just like her aunt). She can score 16 points in a basketball game and come home and put on her little fake french manicured nails and be girly. Really, I think she should have been mine. I love this girl with my whole heart! Happy Birthday Karagen!
