Insta Friday

I see that everyone is doing those instagram photos on Fridays telling everyone about their week...so I'm jumping on the wagon! Most of the time we blog about the more important things that happen to us. I thought this would be nice just to see the "little things" that go on in my life.

On most days this kid is a bear in the morning. I really don't know what I'm going to do in Aug. when we have to get up early 5 days a week.
I'm guessing she'll just get use to it. Anywho, this morning she woke up on the right side of the bed and was just being so funny. I never want to forget how sweet and funny this age is.

I saw this sign in a article in Texas Monthly and I thought it was great.

This is my most favorite thing to do during the Summer, going swimming with all the girls in our family. Here are the youngest and possibly the meanest.;)

Favorite Friday

I'm not a huge fan of Starbucks coffee (it's a little strong for me) but those delicious sweet, sugary drinks I am a big fan of! There new mocha coconut frappe. I may or may not have gone by Starbucks 2 times today to get one.

When I thought of taking a picture this is what was left...

And then there is this book. Let me start off by saying I'm not a big reader. I'm in the book club at work but I never read the books. Last time we got together to talk about the book I didn't even know what it was called. I just go for the socialization. So this should let you know how hilarious and easy to read this book is. I started it yesterday and I'm about half way through it. I have laughed until my cheeks hurt and cried a little maybe because I was just a tad jealous of this beautiful love story between Marlboro Man and The Pioneer Woman.

S'more Bars

These bars are super easy to make. Kendall loved making these! I cut the recipe in half, so I wouldn't be tempted for the next month by these little chocolate pieces of heaven. I'm a big fan of s'mores.

1 sleeve of Graham crackers
1 stick of melted butter
1 package of milk chocolate chips
About 3 cups of mini marshmallows

In a food processor crush the Graham crackers until it looks like sand. In a separate bowl pour in butter and Graham crackers, mix well.
In a 9x9 pan put down some foil (super easy clean up) pat down crust and place it in a 350 degree oven for about 12 mins. Until it's nice a golden brown.

Melt the chocolate until smooth. Do this in the microwave or on the stove. Be careful not to burn it! Stir continuously. Pour the melted chocolate over crust. Then place the mini marshmallows on top of chocolate. Put enough on so you can't see any chocolate. Place your oven on broil and pop the bars back in for 3 to 4 mins. Keep a eye on it so it doesn't burn.

Let it cool for a bit and place it in the frig for about 2 hours. Then enjoy your Summer treat without the camp fire!

Dance Recital {2011}

Kendall had her last dance recital of the year last weekend.

The next dance was to a Taylor Swift song, Never Grow Up. Love that song...it did make me cry.

Me and my favorite girl.
