Insta Friday

Well we got through the first week of school. I have survived on coffee and lots of it! I found that pancake mix that all you do is shake it up and pour. I have to say I can remember saying that's for lazy people, well I must be lazy cause I'm using it.

We finally got a little bit of rain yesterday!

walking to class all by herself.

School Bells are ringing...

Last night we had our "back to school" dinner. Normally, I just cooking something she likes and that's it. This year since she is a big Kindergartner I decided to make it extra special!

I used some wedding china of mine and my grandmother's. Check out those beautiful pink glasses...they were my Omie's.

Kendall's Crown

I've seen this on other blogs (Nie's mainly and people just included) I put some words that we should really stick to this year. Obey and Kindness for Ken and Prepare for me. Did I mention she was the last one in her room today?

The guest of honor

Dessert: Chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream

Prepared, that was my word for the new school year. I wonder why I had to use a shop paper towel to write a have a great 1st day at school message?? There is always tomorrow.

Here she is! Not screaming for me to stay. She just gave me that look, like get otta here mom...and I did. And cried when I got down the hall.

Meet the Teacher

Meet the teacher was last night. Let me tell you, I have been counting down the days until she starts Kindergarten. When I walked into that room last night it hit me like a ton of bricks. I felt like such an idiot, fighting trying not to cry. Finally I got control of myself to ask a couple questions and go look around the school. Once we got in the car I let out a couple of tears and my very compassionate 5 year of told me, suck it up sister! So that's what I did. Oh, Monday should be a interesting day!

Insta Friday {last week of Summer}

Oh, Summer you went by fast this year. We are excited to start back to school, schedules and all the extra activities that come along with the Fall school year. What a week we had cramming all those last little Summer things in.

After months of thinking about it, we finally got a new puppy, Lily. She has  been so good. This is such a great thing for Ken teaching her responsibility and just some good old fashion fun for her to have a playmate here.

Of course did back to school shopping

When you grow up on a ranch you have to learn how to drive at a early age to help feed the cows, go drive up to the gate to get the mail for your mom and just act cool when your friends come over and you drive them around in an old truck.

She thinks it so fun to "drive" from my parents gate up to their house. I think by the time she's 16 she'll be a pro.

Going for our last swim of the Summer.   My oldest niece is into that colored duct tape so they got creative with the glasses from the Smurf movie.

I hope all of you had a fun, relaxing Summer. I did! Enjoying every last second with my baby girl before she goes off to Kindergarten.
